Teaching & Learning - Curriculum Overview

We create a strong sense of belonging, where students feel safe, secure and grow in confidence and ability.'

To foster this, our classes are multi-age grouped and our students have frequent opportunities to engage with their peers in every year level.

We understand that young minds develop and learn at different rates, and thorough planning, teaching and assessment, ensure our staff know each and every child and their individual learning needs are met.

Our early years programs are highly regarded, and renowned for their explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy, drawing from children’s interests and lives. Students actively investigate a range of skills and experiences for life, either through planned play or projects. These programs are recognised as innovative, and reflect current best practice in early childhood education.

The middle and upper school programs develop skills for life-long learning. Project-based programs enhance creative and critical thinking, problem solving and develop self-concept and intrinsic motivation.

Our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and programs, which encourage and develop personal growth, leadership skills, resilience and intellect.

Our specialist subject areas include:

  • Japanese
  • The Arts: Visual & Performing
  • Science

There are also a range of excursions, incursions, bi-annual camps, special theme days and school community occasions.

We know that all of our students have a special talent that needs to be nurtured and developed, to ensure they pursue and achieve their best.
